Andrés Mignucci FAIA has been awarded the 2022 GOLD MEDAL AWARD by the American Institute of Architects-Puerto Rico for an exemplary design practice and teaching career spanning over four decades, Andrés Mignucci FAIA has advanced the architectural profession through design, teaching, research, scholarship, and public service.
I awarding the Gold Medal, the jury wrote the following: “We were all unanimous in agreeing that Andrés Mignucci FAIA is richly deserving of this honor as his career exemplifies what the AIA should stand for — a lifetime of outstanding achievement in design, service to the community and mentoring and educating the next generation. We were deeply honored and inspired by reviewing his application and could not agree more that this individual is the perfect person to receive the American Institute of Architect - Puerto Rico’s first ever AIA Gold Award. Congratulations and thank you for setting an example for us all."
